Amateur Radio - in the HighlandsAmateur Radio, as a hobby, has many different aspects. For some the interest is speaking to fellow amateurs in foreign countries; the "speaking" could be by voice or it may be in Morse Code, by TV or by data. Other amateurs experiment with different aerial systems while some even use satellites (did you know there are amateur satellites!?) If you are interested in Amateur Radio or short wave listening there is plenty information on the web. Try the Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB). Highland amateur radio clubs and organisations are detailed below (follow the links) Radio ClubsRAYNET GroupsBlack Isle Repeater Group - GB3BI, 145.725MHzData Communications
