The Inverness and District RAYNET group is a voluntary organisation of licenced Radio Amateurs and others who provide communication facilities in times of civil emergency or disaster. As training exercises we provide safety communications at a number of major sporting events in the Highlands. This site is primarily intended to be a means for distributing information to the group members but others are welcome to peruse the contents. A new blog http://inverness-raynet.blogspot.com/ has been setup to enable interactive discussions. Hopefully it will give you an insight to the natural beauty of the Scottish Highlands - a great place to work and play. Information about RAYNET, the local groups and membership is available on this site. Further details about RAYNET in the UK is available on the national web site. Other links are included where I know about them.
